A Quick History Of Every Doctor Who Theme (1963 – 2010)

Brian Rimmer put together this awesome montage of the history of Ron Grainer’s Doctor Who theme. The video collects every version of the titles & theme music 1963 – 2010 (including Matt Smith’s opening credits)!

The history of Dr. Who themes captures a cross-section of electronic music history – and also demonstrates the enduring power of Delia Derbyshire’s original 1693 arrangement.

  1. As somebody who was watching in 1963 and still enjoys it (though much of the 1970s and 1980s were crap), I would say 1 and 11/12. However, the important thing is that they are all better than Orbital.

  2. Could someone give me a quick synopsis of the show? What is it about? I don't think I've ever seen it but I do like the theme song. Catchy bugger.
