Live 8-bit Synth Jam On Chipophone

Sunday Synth Jam: Synth jams don’t get much more fun than Linus Akesson‘s Chipophone rendition of  DuckTales, “The Moon” level, composed by Yoshihiro Sakaguchi in 1989.

The Chipophone is a one-of-a-kind 8-bit synth, housed in the body of an old organ. The keys, pedals, knobs and switches have been rerouted to a microcontroller, which transforms their signals into MIDI. Those are then parsed by a second microcontroller, which acts as a synthesizer.

Details at the Linusakkeson site.
