Free Apple Loop Library Comes With The Best Licensing Agreement Ever

Kent Sandvik has released a collection of free Apple loop libraries that come with the best licensing agreement ever:

LICENSING AGREEMENT

You are not allowed to make crappy music with these loops.

Don’t you wish that all licensing agreements were that easy?

The libraries include:

KENT LOOP COLLECTION VOLUME 1 – REAKTOR

This contains 50 loops made with Reactor 5.5 (beta). These are either eight or four bar long with variations so you could use the beginning, tail, middle, or everything.

KENT LOOP COLLECTION VOLUME 2 – ALCHEMY

This contains 50 loops made with Camel Audio’s Alchemy software synthesizer. These are either eight or four bar long with variations so you could use the beginning, tail, middle, or everything.

KENT LOOP COLLECTION VOLUME 3 – EXPERIMENTAL GUITAR

This contains 50 loops made with NI’s Guitar Rig 4 as well as the Logic Amps and pedal simulations, in addition to using various other plugins for more effects. These are either eight or four bar long with variations so you could use the beginning, tail, middle, or everything.

You could use these for ambient work, experimental work, pop with character or anything else.

  1. i tried to use these loops in ABLETON LIVE 8,but, LIVE keeps CRASHING. i tried other Loops i found and still LIVE 8 crashes.

  2. Hmm, installed Live 8.1.5 to a plain MacOSX 10.6.4 system, downloaded volume 3. Dragged in the loops. Works.

If this is a Windows box, make sure you have the latest QuickTime for Windows version as the AIF support with other audio frameworks might have problems. These are AppleLoops so I had to use AIF in order to support both Logic and other DAW platforms. Any decent DAW should be able to open AIF audio files, anyway.

Or if something else, send Ableton support an email with one of the AIF file telling them what happens.

Great, but how is the licensor going to deal with the 85% of users who violate this agreement?

    🙂

  4. i wonder if they are either eight or four bar long with variations so you could use the beginning, tail, middle, or everything?

  5. Now this is FREE stuff.

Of course, me the whiner still has something to complain about (hey; at least I'm honest about it and not trying to troll)… I want my free "how to become a decent musician" study !

    🙂

    Nah,brilliant license!

  6. Don't bother trying to help him, he's always just dissing Ableton for the sake of it.
He's just a troll, so better deon't feed him 😉
