Some impressions from the recording process of Me Oh My, from Bryan Ferry’s new Olympia album, featuring Native Instruments Maschine.
People say synthesizer music is very cold. But that’s not the synthesizer; it’s the musician behind it. The difference is that with acoustic instruments, the player has the ability to put in this precious thing we call soul. That’s what I’m trying to do with synthesizers.

Very boring video IMO. Looks more like a videoclip which happens to have a 5 second shot on maschine.

Actually, this footage as well as a whole lot more is part of the "Making of Olympia" documentary that encapsulates the recording of Mr. Ferry's latest album. It's really good stuff, and one shouldn't put it down based on this tiny little snippet of a preview.
The documentary is filmed and produced by one of Isaac Ferry, one of Mr. Ferry's sons. I highly recommend that people check it out for inspiration. It's all about great music, interesting people and occasionally you'll see a fleeting shot of a framed Marilyn Monroe image if you have the eye for it.
