Using the Novation Launchpad to trigger different parts of the song in real time while playing the drum part on modified Roland V-Drums.
This song is dedicated to the trials tribulations and torment of 2010, and is inspired by the Cinematic Orchestra’s “As Stars Fall” as well as Squarepusher’s “Music Rotted One Note” album.
This is Progtronica as the futuristic one-man drum ninja band. Here, I’m using sidechain compression on the bass and ambient sounds separately against the live drums, which makes for an interesting sound.
