  1. I think its way overpriced. A bunch of instruments and effects without even a sequencer for the price of a full DAW? I get the feeling he's been looking too long at NI's Komplete. However, that is a whole lot more besides instruments and effects…

  2. This is the first package I got for use with Ableton, and even though I have got other synths since then, I still keep coming back to Explorer II because of the scads of quality presets – there may be thousands total – and because each of these VSTs performs it’s function well. As for SynthFans comment about the price, I disagree. For the $700-800 you get 3 full synths (Blade, Blue, Predator) which cover virtually any type of synthesis you need (Additive, FM/Osc, and Analogue), a dedicated bass/percussion module (Subboombass), a rhythm “guitar” module (RG), a full featured drum/percussion module (Punch), and 3 dedicated effects modules (in addition to all of Predator FX’s effects) all in one package. Blue and Blade can stand up to many of the other synths out there, and so they’re worth about $400 by themselves. No, I don’t work for RP, but this is a great package if you are looking to get a ton of sound in one all encompassing package. Worth every penny, at least to me! Go price out these separately, and then compare. I did! =) PS: Sylenth1 and Zebra2 are also awesome.
