  1. This company is redonkulas.. lets charge you $30 for dedicated iPad MIDI controller to a piece of software you already purchased.

They could learn a lot from Korg (see iElectribe & iMS-20) & Moog (see Filitron).

  2. Leveraging 2 years of experience in designing GUI for control surface and 25+ years of experience in designing synthesizers sounds, we are bringing the best of those experiences to the iPad with iControlMIDI – the only iPad app that doesn't make a sound and has the GUI created by our 4 year old team member and all that for unheard of low price of $30…

  3. As someone who does this for a living, I can attest to how awful this design is. Very unfriendly and lacks logical groupings of controllers for that "at-a-glance" usability. Maybe the functionality is great, but it really needs visual help.

  4. The screenshot must be a misprint surely? I can see them charging $30 for a an app that allowed you to drag your patch chords around, etc but this is just a joke!

  5. I agree. I think this looks really bad. I have the Korg iMS20 and it is amazing. I got it for $17.99 tax included and it just sounds amazing. I plan on getting the Akai 49 Key controller for it.

  6. Is the Arturia MiniMoog V included.
I bought the CS -80 box from Arturia for 199$. Not even a VST just stand alone
    I have the iMS20 & Filitron.
I like controlling the Korg w/ CC kit connected to my Workstation
    This looks craptapular

  7. All Arturia plugin are VST, RTAS and standalone (even AU on mac).
So you should have it, and also you can download the upgrades for free.

  8. @ DZI – CS-80 is stand alone only. I thought v.2 upgrade would solve this.
There is no way to even get to their site ( Arturia) from the synth.
I know the other sets work as VST like the Arp 2600 , Moog Modular.
I guess I chose the wrong one. Saw Emerson play it @ Montreal Stadium for Fanfare on You Tube during rehearsals.
It seems that there is no way around it. disappointing ,
