This timelapse of an 8-hour dubstep production, via James Provan, aka GiR2007, is the result of a YouTube challenge:
A youtuber requested I make a dubstep song, so I challenged myself to make one in 8 hours, having never attempted dubstep before. Let me know what you think in the comments, and if you have any other requests, send them in!
See Provan’s YouTube site for more production examples.
Eight hours to make a dubstep track? Was it a long lunch break, then?
I love to watch people work. I often learn more than I do from manuals.
But this was kinda useless.
Someone sitting in a chair for 8 hours is NOT EXCITING. ever.
How long did it take to make "After Berry (1978)"? Or did your cat just lay on the keyboard?
About four hours, but it would have taken slightly longer without the cat's help. I don't know how long it took Berry to compose it, though.
Thanks for listening!

Btw, there was no keyboard in it.
