  1. I can relate to this post. I had a friend come over who I haven't seen in months and we spent about 3 hours messing around with the OP-1.

  2. i have to agree with the others, on the mobile version of this site you can't see any pictures so you look at the post and waste bandwidth on stuff you never would have clicked on otherwise. and this is the second time this week from the same person. so no, it's not just one picture. I just want clarification, otherwise I can start reading a more news oriented site.

We generally reserve publishing user synth photos for Saturdays, and synth jams for Sundays. This is because there tend to be fewer gear and software introductions on the weekend.

Regular readers will know that these posts are tagged as synth porn or synth jams in the text. This means that you should be able to know what sort of content is in the post without needing to load the photos or images.

Also, the mobile version of the site has the option to expand each of the headlines, so you can find out more about the content of the posts without clicking through.

In addition, you have the option to disable the mobile version of the site, if it does not meet your needs.

If you feel that Synthtopia doesn't meet your needs, we welcome any constructive criticism you may have.

We also highly recommend Sonic State, Rekkerd, Create Digital Music and the eMusician site. They all cover electronic music gear, but with different perspectives and focus. Maybe one of those sites is a better fit for your interests.

I hope these tips will help you avoid wasting bandwidth at Synthtopia and also give you some options for some news oriented sites that you might like.
