New Old-School Synthesizer Music Video

Reader Sebastian Teir (Kebu) let us know about this video for Samba Saturn, a new old-school style synth jam and also his first official single release as a solo artist.

Teir’s video is a treat for old school synth music fans, with multi-track clones handling the sequenced parts, classic analog sounds and even some ‘synth face’, when the jamming gets serious.

Here are the technical details for the track:

Only analog synthesizer were used in recording the tune. The tune was also recorded by analog gear only and mixed with an analog mixer.

Equipment used: Korg Mono/Poly, Korg Poly-61, Moog Source, Logan String Melody, Arp Axxe, Touched by Sound DRM1, Roland TR-808, Electro Harmonix Polychorus, Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic, Lexicon MPX500, Allen&Heath GS1, Yamaha MT4x. Cubase & Live only used as MIDI sequencers with the tape sync handled by a Roland TR-626.

  1. Awesome. But that Abraham Lincoln beard has got to fucking go, broham.

I mean, do chicks actually DIG that thing?

  2. Love it. That beard is definitely over the top but the synth Jam is one of the better that I have heard recently.

  3. +1 for epic beard.

    Loved the carnival breakdown, too.

Made me think that Jarre grew a beard and got his groove back for a minute there!

  4. Seventies-tastic. Great to see genuine analogue synths played by a genuine analogue player. And beards are cool.

  5. Chicks do not like beards. You cavemen think they do, but what you don't know is that as soon as you've finished with your business they are in the bathroom throwing up.

    No lie.
