  1. My thoughts exactly. I own an APC40 as well as an iPad and I can't help but feel that if I was an AKAI executive I would have my lawyers on the case immediately. It's one thing to have your design inspired by another product but this is pretty brazen.

  2. But they don't even compete… although, I'm glad I didn't buy an APC. I hate the clunkyness of AKAI's hw. Too bad, because they have good products.

PS: This doesn't work with Ableton 8.2.2 Just contacted their support 🙁

  3. Seriously if you want serious control over Ableton Live with the iPad, try serious products like touchAble or Griid. This app is obviously an uninspired plagiat.

  4. BTW; Synthtopia, you have a very nasty habit of NOT posting direct links to featured products…!
It is major inconvenience for your readers, but most importantly disregard for app/products developers featured on your website…

On posts about iOS apps, our standard procedure is to link directly to the app in the App Store, because that is guaranteed to have the official information on the current version of the app. This can benefit developers, because readers may actually buy the program at the App Store.

If the developer site has additional information that we think would be beneficial to readers, such as audio or video demos of apps, we try to post links to that, too.

Let us know what you think of this approach. And if you see a post that you think could use a link for additional information, do let us know and we'll review it and correct it, where applicable.

We have also found App Store links to be more stable than deep links to indie developers' sites.

If the developer site has additional information that we think would be beneficial to readers, such as audio or video demos of apps, we try to post links to that, too. In this case, the Iximix site doesn't currently offer any additional information about this app.

I hope the reasoning behind our process will make sense to you.

  9. Also, is self entitlement so overpowering that it prevents using the google? Synthtopia offers tons of information (for free) – so if any further research is needed, go ahead and work that search bar featured on the top of every modern browser.
