Rhythm Studio For iPad (Sneak Preview)

Here’s a first look at Rhythm Studio – a new virtual studio for the iPad.  This video demonstrates beat making with Rhythm Studio.

Here’s what developer Pulse Code has to say about Rhythm Studio:

Rhythm Studio balances advanced features by using an easy to understand interface resembling real instruments. This means that one button does one thing just like it would with real hardware. Knobs turn, switches slide, and buttons press. You won’t get lost in abstract interfaces or design. Rhythm Studio is the next best thing to having the real hardware.

Rhythm Studio includes a full 808 drum machine, 303 synthesizer, sample based synthesizer, XY style control pad, and mixer with FX.

Rhythm Studio has three ways of creating music:

Manually program the drum machine and synthesizers like the original hardware.

Use the Control Pad to play the drum machine or synthesizers live.

Create randomized patterns based on the key and scale of the song.

Pricing and availability for Rhythm Studio are to be announced.

  1. Here we go again.

How in the world can you release a drum machine app and have zero MIDI capability?

    ffs.

Here's a hint for all music app devs: Before you do anything, before you learn how to make a button glow or portrait turn to landscape or whatever…..learn how to incorporate MIDI. syntheticbits and Finger both now have extensive tutorials and help pages.

There's absolutely no excuse at this point.

    Again, ffs.

  2. Nice; I may pick this up. I have Rebirth, TechnoBox2 and the Finger apps (Mo Drum, Bassline), but I like having a lot of these things around for some reason.

Still, I haven't seen anything at the AppStore that would replace my Nithonat and Phoscyon VST's for production work.

  3. Interface good, implementation bad.
Just another 808/303 clone thing that brings nothing new to the table at all really. Please make an app that is a sort of version of the Korg ESX for the iPad and stop feeding us boring pre-programmed outdated drum machines.
    Yawn :O

  4. Actually they have included a variety of cool synth modules including a ribbon synth, a supersaw synth with 7 detuned osc, a 3-operator FM synth that is skinned to look like the OP-1 from teenage engineering and more. I like that i can choose from all the available modules.. Even running four ribbon synth modules and no drums if thats what I wanted. There are some great functions in each synth module and the look and feel is amazing.
