Arthur Joly’s Jolymod – The First Modular Synth Built In Brazil?

Arthur Joly sent word via the Synthtopia Facebook page of his Jolymod – a modular monster synth that he speculates may be the first modular synth built in Brazil.

We’ve got no idea on the ‘first modular synth built in Brazil’ claim (if you’ve got opinions on this, weigh in below), but with 4 16-step sequencers, 6 VCO’s & 4 quantizers, it’s certainly a monster synth.

Watch out for Traktus, Master of Universal Synthesis for proof!

  1. Honestly, i'll never understand the appeal of 90% of the music that seems to be made with modulars, seems like an abuse of power just to make them randomly blip about – Cool design though, very 60's spaceship-esque.

  2. great synth , great video, wit, with humour and a very well designed machine.
Nice one BraZil………..Nice and fucked up examples, good sound.
