One of the most interesting new controllers at this year’s NAMM Show is the Akai Max49. It offers MIDI, but also control voltage support, a sequencer, LED touch faders, MPC pads and more.

the op-1 video game is sooo cool! most expensive video game ever though haha. The oplab is an interesting concept but it looks a little too DIY at the moment.
I love where teenage engineering is going with the oplab! Always simple but fresh!!!! Love it!
Lawls in remark to the OP-1 game. the pattern sequencer seems like a cool idea, I’d love to see them go a little farther with that. Drum synth is cool biz too. I’m hoping, with seeing them program a game on the OP-1, that they will release a SDK for the lil’ beast at some point.
There was an interesting conversation around the 1:14 mark on the Moog Taurus video. Interviewer asks how one will manage presets on this Taurus. Initial response was “they’ll be an app”. Though they further discussed “accommodating various range…” first thing that comes to mind is IOS App. Moog’s Animoog app is fantastic, can imagine what they might have in store next…
