The Moog Minitaur Analog Bass Synthesizer is now shipping.

We’ve covered the Moog Minitaur features and specs previously. But, now that the Minitaur has been released, here’s a batch of audio demos created with the new bass beast. Check them out and let us know what you think of the new Moog synth!

The Moog Minitaur is a compact analog bass synthesizer that features a classic one knob per function design. It’s priced at US $679, with a street price of about $600.

  1. Don’t want to be “that guy” but these demos sound like shit and are very uninspiring. I agree with Tim that this is bland indeed.

    1. How about some requests or suggestions for what you’d like to hear?

      Don’t you think that Moog is going to be motivated to provide the types of demos that Synthtopia readers, aka their customers, would want to hear?

  2. Just took a tour of the Moog factory this week. These people are the real deal. Whether you are a Moog person or not, I think the majority of us would have been impressed with the build process from beginning to end. Everything hand built and inspected numerous times by numerous techs. Everyone I spoke with appeared to love what they were doing. Smart group of cats. I myself do not have any Moog equipment at present, but was able to demo the synths in the showroom. Everything seems to be built tank solid………like the good old days. I know my meandering has little to do with whether the Minitaur fits in your setup or not……. I’m just glad compaines like Moog still exist. If you ever get a chance to visit them in Asheville……don’t pass it up.
