Sunday Synth Jam: Here’s something for the synth freaks – a live cover of Magic Fly.

Magic Fly was released in 1977 by French space disco synth band Space. It’s sort of cheesetacular by today’s standards, but it was a #1 hit around the world when it was released.

The live performance of Magic Fly, via glendamster, features Roland Jupiter 8 and Oberheim OBXA.

Here’s the original version by Space:

  1. Why have I never heard of SPACE before? Cheesy, but awesome! This is precisely why we invented a time machine to send Daft Punk back to the 1970s – or is it the other way around? I had to listen to tons more of their stuff on youtube thanks to this post!
