triqtraq Jam Sequencer For iPhone

Zaplin Music has released triqtraq, a ‘jam sequencer’ for iOS.

triqtraq shares some features with other ‘jam sequencers’ for iOS, but adds some more advanced features, like automation and sample import.

Features:

  • create musical patterns fast and intuitively, by programming live or by using the ‘step edit’-feature
  • automate parameters like pitch, filter, delay, decay and level in real-time
  • change samples or sample kits on-the-fly while jamming
  • edit multiple tracks simultaneously
  • store up to 16 patterns and 32 samples per session
  • specify the length of a sequence per track, or set the automation length for each parameter individually
  • switch seamlessly between patterns
  • use the loop range feature to create poly-rhythmic sequences
  • use sounds from the 350+ factory sample library
  • import your own sounds via iTunes file sharing

You can see triqtraq in action below:

triqtraq is $1.99 in the App Store. If you’ve tried it, leave a comment and let us know what you think of it!

  1. Haven’t got it yet ..looks very “busy” but powerful… Puts the korg ikaossilator to shame as far the features and automation goes
Wish they would add Acp copy/paste too..
Lot of good videos on YouTube explaining the setup and feature… Kudos to the devs

  2. Not only that it “Puts the korg ikaossilator to shame”, it puts that other overhyped app ( Figure ) to even more shame… As Marlow77 said: “Simply awesome. Great effects, sequencing, samples, and GUI. Just get it.”
    Couldn’t agree more ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. BTW; Shame (get again) that this rather fantastic app is iPhone only and not universal, aka iPad friendly… ๐Ÿ™

  3. This was a lot of fun on my iPad last night and I haven’t even checked out the tutorials for the deeper details. If your into sound design and prepping your own samples beforehand, I see this as being very creatively useful.

  4. I told myself I didn’t need another iOS music app… But I broke down an bought it anyway.

Glad I did, it’s a lot of fun. Responsive, great samples… Just need to start adding my own sounds to really expand it.
