What’s Moog’s New MoogerFooger?

Moog Music posted a geektacular teaser today for a new MoogerFooger pedal, along with this J.R.R. Tolkien riddle:

This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.

The new MoogerFooger is coming June 22nd. If you’ve got ideas on what it will be, or the relevance of the riddle, leave a comment!

  1. Whatever it is, I hope it works like that Ring Tolkien wrote about–I’d be more relaxed playing live if I were invisible.

  2. I for one look forward the the inevitably well shot but desperately annoying marketing materials featuring someone use the gear to make an unlistenable racket.

  3. It’s definitely a new analog delay. MF-104M. I think Sweetwater inadvertently leaked it by listing it in their new Summer 2012 catalog before Moog had an opportunity to announce it or post their teaser video. I’ve had the catalog in hand since last week. The price that’s shown is $ 679.00.
