Moogfest 2012 Lineup Additions Announced, Morton Subotnick To Blow Some Minds

Moogfest organizers today announced additions to the artist lineup today:

First up is hip hop icon Nas, performing with his Moog-ed out nine-piece band. Moogfest alums Tim Hecker and Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) join us for their debut U.S. collaborative performance. New York’s Buke & Gase (formerly Buke & Gass) will bring their art-rock wild thing while representing Asheville are garage proggers Ahleuchatistas.

Finally, electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick presents “From Silver Apples to a Sky of Cloudless Sulfur,” which will include his piece “Silver Apples of the Moon,” one of most influential electronic music pieces of all time. A hearty welcome to all and get ready to be blown away!

Previously announced artists include: Richie Hawtin, Squarepusher, Orbital, Carl Craig, Thomas Dolby and Mouse on Mars.

Moogfest 2012 will be held Oct 26-27 in Asheville, NC.
