Sound Magic “Orchestral Strings One” Composer Technology Contest

Sound Magic has announced the Orchestal Strings One Composer Technology Contest.

From now until the end of November, composers can submit a finished work created with Sound Magic’s free Orchestral String One. Any style or genre is acceptable; up to 2 minutes in duration. Sound Magic will select several winners based on the most skillful use of Orchestral Strings One.

The Contest will have winners in the following categories:

  • 1 First Prize Winner will get Supreme Piano 2 or a coupon for Sound Magic Products worth €299
  • 2 Winners for Second Prize will be awarded with coupon for Sound Magic Products worth €99

Contest entries are limited to compositions that exclusively using Sound Magic Orchestral Strings One as main instrument. Other instruments should be used as a accompany instrument

  1. There’s never a November 31st.. Any year!

    I tested out Strings One- didn’t think much to it, i’d struggle to make anything half decent with this, let alone a prize {!} winning entry. I’ll be interested to see if anyone else can either.

  2. No leap day in November?

    We updated the post to ‘end of November’. The contest info actually does say Nov 31th – with a ‘th’, though:

    “From now until November 31th, 2012, composers should deliver a finished work as a link to an MP3/WMA or wave file via Sound Magic Support Email. Any style or genre is acceptable; up to 2 minutes in duration. Sound Magic will select several winners based on the most skillful use of Orchestal Strings One.”
