something to think about
Artists deal in this rather nebulous area I call “the rehearsal of empathy.” You’re rehearsing a repertoire of feelings that you might have about things, of ways of reacting to things, of how it would feel to be in this situation. How it would feel to be in that person’s place? What would I have done? Such questions are the most essential human questions because they deal with how we negotiate as mental beings through a complicated universe.
— Brian Eno

Not sure how unconventional that was. But it sure was funky! I loved it.

Didn’t he use the C64 to trigger the nukes?

Unconventional in that he’s using a modular to make music instead of farts and bleeps
. I loved this too by the way.

It was a very nice track but the video somewhat killed the suspense for me. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but I enjoyed his earlier video’s much more. The very first for example (also discovered through Synthtopia iirc) where he wore a “miners cap” (with the searchlight) on his head and played in a rather unlit environment which added to the effect.
I really liked that “low profile” kind of video making over what we have here. I’d rather see the guy hit the keyboard a few times than seeing a moving robot, even though it all adds up of course.
Oh; and obviously this is the synth freak in me speaking. After all; the earlier video’s gave such a great look into his awesome gear
