2013 is Korg’s 50th anniversary and they’ve released this video, featuring a variety of well-known keyboardists offering their anniversary wishes.
Some of the keyboardists featured include Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson, Herbie Hancock, Bob Katsionis and Paul and Emi Gilbert.
Herbie is still the man!
It’s funny how deeply Herbie is associated with Korg nowadays, when in the 70’s and 80’s he was using mostly (now legendary) other manufacturers, Arp, even a Fairlight.
But that is because he’s been sponsored by them (Korg) for a long time…
I heartily agree though – he’s my hero as a pianist and pretty much the ultimate chameleon badass multitalent.
