New Album Of Free Synth Music Inspired By Vangelis, Boards Of Canada

Reader Rupert Lally shared with us a new suite of electronic music, that was inspired by early experimental electronic albums, Vangelis’ Blade Runner OST and Boards Of Canada.

The music, Postcards From A Used Future, is a collaboration between Lally and Norwegian electronic artist and filmmaker, Espen J. Jörgensen. It was composed for CiTR radio in Canada’s 24 Hours of Radio Art.

You can preview the Postcards From A Used Future via the embed, above. It’s available as a free/pay-what-u-want download from their Bandcamp page.

  1. Okay let’s take a little dive into this album: Part I clearly has the Bladrunner-feel. The other parts are more like an Atticus Ross-soundtrack. I couldn’t hear the BOC-influence. However I’m certain the makers listen to them a lot. I say thumbs up. Really enjoyed it.

  2. Very nice – I can definitely hear Blade Runner & BOC influence, but these guys have their own sound. Which sort of makes sense, since BOC and Vangelis are completely different!

  3. I finally got around to listening to this whole album, and I absolutely love it! It’s great walking and thinking music.

  4. Thanks , I have just been searching for information approximately this subject for ages and yours is the best I’ve found out so far. However, what about the conclusion? Are you positive about the supply?|What i don’t understood is actually how you’re now not really much more neatly-preferred than you may be now. You are very intelligent.
