  1. To akai, STOP making crap controllers and make a true standalone MPC. I’ve herd nothing but bad things about these controllers. I would have to say that all the bad stuff is about the software. Maybe some day.

  2. its sad when all your company is trying to do is play catch up to other companies.
    nobody wants this.
if they do, they will go get the much cheaper and better Mashine.
    Not this overpriced, under-cooked junk.

friend of mine who works in a music shop has told me nothing has had a higher return rate than the last 3 years of anything made by Akai.

  3. Just add the damn DSP chip in the controller, making it able to stand alone as well as being an audio interface. Cost is raised by 15$.

  4. I own it……… I LIKE THIS BETTER THAN MY MAC ITSELF. THE CONTROL. I HAVE A NOVATION SL MK2 ALSO. I KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. THIS PRODUCT WILL OUTSHINE ANY……………..MUSICAL INSTRUMENT GIMIKS AND ALL. AND YES I HATE BEING A PAYING BETA TESTER BUT THEY WIN BROS!

DONT THROW STONES AT ARCHITECTS……..THEY JUST BUILD A CITY.

  5. whatever you should help me throw money at a company that invests in bringing heart back to controlers. novation with thier premuim keybeds and akai with a mpc that uses waves api ssl and maschine vst……lol

    ps…..(NO CAPS!!!!!!)

  6. This si all I have to say about Akai: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py7TcleGCn4
That’s my Akai MPC 5000 burning. Worse experience I have ever had in my life with hardware, ever since Numark bought them they have turned into a real piece of shit company. That Machine cost me $2,500 and I am still bitter about it. The other day I had the opportunity of picking one up for $600, I turned it on, used it and all the bad memories came back, had to leave it there.

  7. akai is the new technics.
household name for decades, legendary product. thought they would own the game forever without needing to update their product, invest in research and development..

it turns out, competition not only catch them, as has left them behind.

it happens all the times, in all major industries!
    it wasnt different with them.
