  1. Why do so many iOS DAW developers leave out the possibility of drawing automation curves (volume, pan etc.)?

It’s so essential to how a DAW operates.

    1. Drawing is for preschoolers. real musicians like myself handle these tasks with expression on our instruments.

      1. I would not worry too much about that.

I’ve got the impression that the rising amount of provocative troll comments during the last weeks was also accompanied by a strange new up/down-voting tendency. Can’t say for sure, but I would not be surprised if a single person did his/her best to influence the comment votings…

          1. Hey, this is new? I did not know that you can now insult people directly on Synthtopia. This is really bound to spawn great discussions.

Thanks for bringing your valuable input, we can’t wait to hear more.

            1. Because of the nature of Internet discussions, do not think that we can protect you from insult.

If we find comments that are personal attacks or hate speech, we will delete them.

      2. This is the IOS crowd : don’t suggest anything on how to make the platform better before Apple does it, or suffer the consequences.

I remember being downvoted to oblivion a few years ago every time I would suggest IOS could do multitasking and MIDI, and I’m still getting downvoted everytime I mention how great it would be to be able to access the filesystem and share documents and sample libraries across apps.

          1. Well who else do you think is downvoting things that are possible and would be great if not conservative fanboys?

If people see themselves in what I describe it is their problem, even you have never noticed that I never am never actually calling “all users of Apple products”, but rather “Apple fanboys” (or hardcore base), which means the group of Apple users so tightly locked-in that they won’t accept that things can be made better, or that better things can exist else where, … only to be happy and excited when things get better.

… remember the times when high-resolution screens was something Apple “hardcore users” (ie not every Apple users) would not want and would claim is not a necessity, but then BOOM Retina Display, and now every Apple “hardcore users” are dissing lower res screens and won’t believe the S3 and the Nexus10 have better resolution than the Retina Display.

Remember before Audiobus? People would say it would be stupid to have some kind of host to drive many apps at once…

So yeah.. I guess its “my” attitude…

              1. You say that, but in reality, there is just no way to suggest things about IOS without it being perceived as “bitching”. Always has been, always will be. Ask the people who still want internal optical drives in their iMacs.

Yes its true that sometimes I am being critical, but now its up to a point where even when I say positive suggestions it is perceived as “bitching”. You guys are taking this way too seriously.

            1. Goode – it’s the cup is half empty attitude and the chip on your shoulder about it.

This post is about something that’s great news for iPad users – yet you’re talking about ‘fanboys’ and acting like you’re persecuted. WTF?

              1. “yet you’re talking about ‘fanboys’ and acting like you’re persecuted.

Did you read the entire thread before entering the discussion Elliot?

Did you noticed I was replying to the guy who said “Really? 14 thumbs down for suggesting something as basic as volume and pan drawing?! Tough crowd”. Did you noticed the guy on top made a legitimate comment and was put down? This is what I was responding to.

… and yet here you are persecuting me for being coherent with the guy I was replying to. Thanks for proving my point.

                1. Yep and your response sounds exactly like what you’d expect from someone with a cup is half empty viewpoint and a chip on their shoulder to boot.

    2. my guess is they leave it out because drawing anything with precision on a touch screen probably isn’t going to work out very well…

  3. Thumbs up/thumbs down: either way I wouldn’t deduce from the voting that you are popular or unpopular. Troll types are a funny lot, they’ll actually expend energy trying to manipulate stuff like voting on comments. Which is hilarious.

I for one really like and respect people who go against the grain and say what they feel…but like most, I don’t really like whiners. Or anyone with an “us vs. them” mentality. Or people who belittle other ideas of how to make music. Or people who…ah hell, to be honest I can’t stand most of you!

I’m kidding, I kid. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go co-opt my co-workers computers real quick and give myself a round of thumbs ups before they return from lunch 😉

  4. It would be nice if we commented on the original post. Everyone has different taste in music and how its made does not make it any better or worse. Thats why there is chocolate and vanilla. Music studio was not for me at first but I am now willing to give it another look. Good day mates

  5. ??o, in truth. Your dog waited right until Colonel Osborne had opted, and after that your dog moved him self; nonetheless your dog could not can come in the vicinity of people. Its to get the pup to guage with his personal do, nonetheless I have to express we assume they’re pretty ridiculous. ??
