  1. Do people actually buy these preset libraries? Apparently, since they keep coming. I just don’t get it, the best part in being a synth freak is tweaking your own patches, right? 5.50, come on….

    1. I’m hoping people will buy, as I’m wrapping up a very large sound library right now! The reality of things is that there are a lot of synth players who don’t want to tweak the controls, or figure out the signal path. It’s intimidating to them, and gets in the way of the creative process. Sound libraries for sale have been around for a long time in a lot of different formats.

      1. hi guys i’m looking for ( willing to pay also if needed ) a library with oberheim like presets, and others , which recreate presets for iconic synth sounds like van halen’s, rush, yes, asia, and so on. anyone know of some library? thank you!

  2. People do buy them to modify and tweak as needed.
You can get new ideas and the animoig is so open ended that its a hard synth to put down . Compared to hard ware synths it’s much easier to share patches and the sound design you have come up with.

  3. I’m never use any presets on anything. I would like to see a delete all presets function. If you like using presets then that’s ok, for me I just get a lot more satisfaction from making my own sounds, but to each there own.

    1. I love to program and I don’t hate presets. For one thing, they show me a hint of what’s possible when first encountering a new synth. And, if the sound works, there’s no reason not to use it. The one thing that does bother me, however, is when a synth/drum machine gets shipped with half (or more) of its sounds/patterns locked into Preset sections that can not be overwritten. Then they leave you with a relatively small section for User creations.

  4. I’ve purchased AE’s patches for my Gaia. There’s a lot of deep, detailed programming that goes into his sounds. I learn in reverse: by reverse-engineering an interesting patch to learn how to develop an original of my own. Each to his own way of learning. Of course, the last synth I programmed on was an MS-20 back in 1980. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Quibbling over 5.5 Euro is simply beneath this forum. I’ve sampled the one for Sunrizer and Magellan – same high quality.
