Sketch Synth 2 Lets You ‘Draw Sounds’

App developer Shape of Sound have released Sketch Synth 2, a ‘pad based rompler’ that lets you draw sounds and draw on effects.

This first version ships with 5 instruments:

  • Punisher – dark wobblers with dubstep drums
  • Noise Valley – a range of windy and tranquil noises to sculpt
  • Psycho Trance – fast upbeat arpeggiated synth sounds
  • Falling Grace – darker trance patches
  • Chip Tune – chirpy acidic sounds

Here’s a preview of Sketch Synth 2 in action:

  • Recording & Audio Copy & Paste
  • 5 themed pads with 50 preset loops (to be extended to 9 in the next update)
  • Multiple audio effects including Scratch, Filters & Delay
  • Video XY pads
  • Backing Drum Loops / Metronome

Sketch Synth 2 v1.0 is $4.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available through the App Store.

  3. Hi, you can go to the iTunes App Store on an iPad 2 or later and on the first page ‘Featured’ you can scroll to the bottom and there are a set of buttons, one of them is labelled redeem.   4. Looks great on the vid…always interesting to see apps that uses the touch screen as the “play ground”. Missed the promo codes….have to be faster next time!!! 🙂
