The Drum Broker has released a new drum break sample library, Internationals Breaks 101, mastered for and pressed in vinyl.

Here’s what they have to say about the collection:

Ready to chop, loop, and layer, International Breaks 101 features 101 breaks from from the late 60’s to early 80’s. Our team assembled a comprehensive break beat kit with ultra rare gems from Russia, China, Thailand, India, Korea, Japan, Bulgaria, Turkey, France, Holland, Italy, Poland, UK, and Brazil.

If you are looking for more variety than your typical over sampled Soul Breaks, then this kit is is perfect for your production arsenal.

International Breaks 101 is available on vinyl for US $14.99.

  1. The audio quality of the demo is terrible. I know they have a product to protect but hiss and aliasing noise on a product demo is not showing the product in it’s best light. If the producers are reading this then I recommend posting a higher quality demo. I would like this record but given the demo quality I will not buy it.

  2. Im’a go out on a limb here and say that the aliasing is intentionally there to prevent you from sampling the demo.

    1. Reckon you’re right there, but I gots to agree with Max Normal, I’d love to buy, but for something being sold on the premise of audio quality these demos don’t, well, demonstrate..
      🙂

  3. 1 – people selling samples being afraid of being sampled and too stingy to give away a couple of high quality examples? Stinge mcStingleberry.

2 – how about a WAV version of the pressed record? I totally understand mastering to vinyl changes the sound for the better (if done well) but not all of us have one of them oldfangled phonograph player apparatuses.

This is totally something I’d buy but not feeling it at the moment.

  4. I agree with Max Normal. I wouldn’t want to buy this if it has watery noise reduction and so many artifacts. Which sound like they are derived from bad quality mp3s from the web. Is this just the demo, or how the actual vinyl sounds? We have no way of knowing?

  5. I got this record. the record sounds great. I already had some of the breaks (but i’m crazy when it comes to collecting breaks) but i only had them on CD versions. It’s nice to have vinyl crunch on some of them. it’s a cool release.

I believe they offer a wav version of this aswell.
