Adam Rafferty Jams On The Vo-96 Acoustic Synthesizer

Experimental Synth’s Chris Stack let us know about this pair of videos that capture guitarist Adam Rafferty‘s first encounter with the Vo-96 Acoustic Synthesizer.

The Vo-96 lets you customize the way a standard acoustic guitar’s harmonics sustain or decay over time, making it possible to do acoustic synthesis with the guitar’s strings. This takes the acoustic guitar into new territory, but the sounds still sound recognizably guitar-like, because they are generated physically by the guitar’s strings and body.
