Korg Volca Beats Review

The Korg Volca line was one of the most enthusiastically received introductions at Musikmesse 2013.

Lots of readers are excited to get their hands on the Volca Keys, Volca Beats and Volca Bass. Nick Batt of sonicstate has the new analog trio in his Lab and, in this video, he takes a look at the Volca Beats – a low-cost analog drum machine.

  1. As an experimental musician this looks intriguing and could be perfect for quirky-type minimal percussion. Great review as always from Sonic Lab. Looks kinda like an MFB 522 little brother perhaps. Although patch volume could be an issue like Nick said.)

  2. Didn’t watch all the way to the end, but didn’t he only say that it was not velocity sensitive? The volume of each sound source is adjustable though.

  3. seems a bit short for the standard i am used from nick but i guess he covered all aspects.
    hope the others will be longer tho…
