Moog Music is introducing a new line of analog effects pedals – the Minifooger series.

No official announcement has been made on these yet, but here’s the info that’s leaked out:

  • Moog Minifooger – Delay ($199.00) – A Bucket Brigade based 100% analog delay that delivers over 650ms of rich, blooming repeats. Adding an expression pedal to the MF Delay allows you to control feedback swells dynamically or adjust the delay time completely hands free.
  • Moog Minifooger – Tremolo ($179.00) – A lush, transformative, and unique wide-range tremolo pedal that employs a balanced modulator circuit and Sub Audio VCO.. Add an expression pedal for beautiful, hands-free swells.
  • Moog Minifooger – Boost ($139.00) – A tone enhancing, twin topology boost pedal that allows you to select between transparent VCA or clipped OTA signal paths. When paired with an expression pedal, the MF Boost can also be used as a volume pedal or sweepable-gain boost pedal.
  • Moog Minifooger – Drive ($169.00) – A unique, filter-based overdrive pedal that employs a classic OTA and Moog Ladder Filter in its drive section for completely customizable sounds from creamy overdrive to cranked tube amplifier. Plug in an expression pedal to add a dimension of tonal and performance possibilities not found elsewhere.
  • Moog Minifooger – Ring ($149.00) – A balanced Ring Modulator based on the best selling Ring Mod in the world, the Moogerfooger MF-102. Add an expression pedal and the MF Ring creates hands free sound sweeps and octave style jamming, to robotic and whammy effects.

We’ll have more info on these when Moog makes their official announcement.

    1. I had the pleasure of owning a Moogerfooger – Ring Mod. It’s the best sounding analog ring modulator i have ever tried. When set up in stereo, it offers a wonderful tremolo/leslie rotator effect that i haven’t heard since then. Like you said steubig, if it’s like the big one i absolutaly want this mini version…

    2. I don”t think they will be sonnically on par with the bigger ones. Who would be buying more expensive ones if you could get smaller and more affordable option .

      1. Dunlop just did that with their Mini Fuzz Face line, all three are on par sonically with their bigger older line. Many other examples…

      2. I’ll tell you who: the people who can’t afford the expensive ones but could afford these, and that’s a LOT of people.
A Slim Phatty synth is not sonically on par with a Voyager, and yet I don’t think they’re having much of a problem selling shitloads of them. 🙂

  1. When I saw this I did something involuntary and messy.!! I don’t care how long it takes for a little bit to come out of each paycheck every month…..I will OWN this entire collection !!

  2. dunno about that.

the big one is too large for my needs. if the small one gets close, it’s a sale. i have a feeling i’m not the only one who feels that a big pedal is problematic.

it’s probably better to sell 2,000 of the small one than 400 of the big one.

    guess we’ll see.

  3. Apparently the announcements and pricing are to be made by Moog’s UK distributor next week. Any existing Moog dealers should be able to get these.
