From Arpeggiators To Waterphones, Morphestra Generations Boasts ‘Awesome Twisted Evolving’ Samples

Sample Logic‘s new Morphestra Generations collection of over 1600 instruments and multis “weighs in” at over 16GBs. The library’s sounds, geared for film, TV and game composers, were derived entirely from true orchestral recordings, made in association with Kirk Hunter Studios.

A wide range of instruments (Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Symphonic & World percussion, Voices, Guitars, Waterphones, Animals, Warehouses, Tools, Machinery, and a number of “unique world instruments”) were recorded in the studio and as field recordings, and then manipulated using Sample Logic’s own proprietary morphing and synthesis techniques to create new organic, “never-before-heard” instruments and ensembles.

  1. My very first thought when I saw this video and heard this incredible sound track? … ….

“Yea. I definitely can’t afford this.”

  2. Your main clue is that its particularly aimed at video and game producers. Sample Logic’s plugs are super-crisp, but a lot of what you pay for is that ACID-like mix-&-match sensibility for on-the-fly deadline work. If you can use it with restraint and define it with enough of your own playing, the results are spectacular. Any two SL products and you’re largely covered from their world perspective. Its out of my budget as well, but listen to some of their lengthier demos and you’ll become a convert. Makes a great graduation or Bar/Bat Mitzvah gift! 😛
