Oxygene 2 Live Cover

Sunday Synth Jam: This video, via deitersmonkey, features a father/son synth jam cover of Jean Michel Jarre’s Oxygene 2.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

Jamming to our Oxygene II attempts. For a bit of Father/Son fun! My son is 10 years old.

He used a Polysix for the FX and leads. Arp Omni for the strings. JX-8P set for the bridge. Whitenoise on the Poly800 with my left hand. Bass is from an old Groovebox.

      1. I guess just an idea to my electronic kin, that we shift from saying ‘live’ to something like ‘improvised’

I think it would be more consistent with other genres that way.

        1. Sorry though, I’m sure this has been discussed elsewhere, and this is not the place for it. I would ask the moderator to please remove my comments on the grounds of “OFF TOPIC” They are coming across as preachy, and generating negativity. Not the result I was going for.

      1. Sorry, not trying to be harsh. I get what you mean, too. This is something I’ve been thinking of for a while, and I wasn’t directing this towards the video linked here. I actually like this video a lot, and I think “live in my living room” is a nice name for a track.
