D-Beam Controller Meets The MacBeth Bomber

Ken MacBeth finds a use for the D-Beam controller, using it to play his new MacBeth Bomber analog synthesizer.

Here’s what he has to say about the setup:

Here is another demonstration of the M3 x MacBeth Mk1 modules configuation that I call Bomber! ‘Bomber’……to bomb the bas with! IUt’s worth noting that this mini system is comprised of just one oscillator- Mk1 Oscillator ‘B’, 1 x Filter ‘B’ and the Dual EG Module! Here I experiment with this time a Roland MC505, using the D-Beam controller- going to a Kenton MIDI to CV controller…..the infamous Pro 4!

  1. Funny how everybody likes to dis the D-Beam. It seems pretty useful in the hands of someone like MacBeth!

PS: the new synth IS the bomb!

  2. I love how old school MacBeth and his synths are.

The Bomber looks and sounds great. I wish these were cheaper – but then they’d be built like a Monotribe, not like a proper monster synth!
