AtomoSynth has introduced the KOE Desktop Mini Modular v2.0, a new mini modular synth based on the Koe synth voice module and Ki midi to CV module (Eurorack standard). It comes housed in a beautiful wooden case and includes power supply, three patch cables and audio cable.

Specifications:

KOE synth voice eurorack module

  • 36 HP width, needs +/- 12V power.
  • Two VCO with square and ramp wavefoms with depth and tune controls, each tune control is a ten turn potentiometer which allows you easily set octave, tune and fine tune with just one knob.
  • Oscillator section has two CV inputs: VCO1+2 which affects both oscillators and VCO2 which affects oscillator 2 only. When a plug is connected to VCO2 input the VCO1+2 input affects to oscillator 1 only.
  • Noise source with level knob and on/off switcher, it also features a noise output jack.
  • One LFO with square and triangle waveforms, it has a switcher for setting it to affect the VCO frequency or the Filter cut off, it also features a cv input to affect the LFO depth and an output jack.
  • High pass and Low pass vactrol based filter with cutoff and resonance/peak control, it also features an input jack to control the cut off frequency.
  • Two Envelope generators: EG1 with decay control which and depth control, it is set to affect the cut off frequency of the filter and also features an output jack. EG2 with attack and release controls, set to affect the volume, it has an output jack and input jack for the incoming gate signal.
  • Also it features an audio input, it allows process any axternal audio signal with the filter and envelopes.
  • The faceplate is made with 3mm dark grey laser cut acrylic, the knobs are black aluminum.

KI Midi to CV converter eurorack module

  • Midi to CV converter (Volt per Octave).
  • 12HP width, Power: +/- 12V, +5V .
  • CV1 PITCH output 0 to +4.8Volt range (57 notes) it comes from a very accurate 12 bit resolution (4096 steps) digital to analog converter DAC, which translates the incoming midi note messages to voltage. It also responds to the pitch bend or pitch wheel control, according to the midi standard it has a range of +/- two half steps. Glide effect, it affects the CV1 PITCH output.
  • Gate output 0 or +5 Volt. it has a red LED that indicates when there is an active gate signal. CV2 output 0 to +5 Volt range, it comes from a 7 bit resolution (128 steps) digital to analog converter, it can be easily set to output the velocity or any controller CC from the midi device.
  • PROGRAM button allows you easily set the midi channel just by pushing it and then pushing a note in your midi keyboard, the midi channel will be automatically set and stored even when the unit is turn off. It also allows you to set the controller CC for the CV2 output, just push the Program button and move any controller in your midi device and it will be set automatically.
  • Midi In and Midi Thru connectors, allows you to connect many midi devices in chain.
  • The faceplate is made with 3mm dark grey laser cut acrylic, the knobs are black aluminum.

  1. don’t know how businesses like this expect to get anywhere with not a single audio or video demo or link on their whole website. do they even care what customers see? do they have any idea what the market is like right now, how easy it is to find dozens of demos, manuals, detailed looks at most products, even the obscure vintage unknown synths?

  2. WARNING!
Do not send Atomosynth your money! I ordered and payed for a KRAKKEN more than a year ago. A frustrating year with promises like “Sorry, I’ll send it tomorrow” everytime I write to Alfredo.
Beginning of february 2014,I was promised it would be sent, and then his facebookprofile was gone and still no Krakken (or KOE desktop, we changed my order since the Krakken is out of production).
I’m in Europe, and Alfredo even wanted me to send the shippingcost (again, I already payed for it once) so he could “send it tomorrow”. Be very aware when dealing with Atomosynth.
