Audulus 2.5 Update Lets You Build Your Own Uber-Modules

audulus-nodesDeveloper Taylor Holliday has updated his modular synth, Audulus, to version 2.5. The update adds a new option, Custom Nodes, that lets you build your own uber-modules:

The Custom Nodes upgrade allows you to add customized user interface to Patch Nodes. A user interface element (Knob, Input, Output, Filter Graph, etc.) in a sub-patch may be shown on the Patch Node by selecting “Expose” from the element’s context menu. An element’s position on the Patch Node is determined by its position in the sub-patch.

Here’s Holliday’s intro video:

Custom Nodes is available as a $9.99 in-app upgrade. Even if you haven’t purchased the Custom Nodes upgrade, though, you still benefit from the update, because you can use Custom Nodes built by others.

Audulus for iPad is available on the App Store, with a Holiday price of $9.99. Audulus for Mac is available on the Mac App Store for $29.99.

  1. I’ve been a user of Audulus since day one (and in those days it had a different name). Its come a long way and continues to improve in impressive yet cost effective ways. This is the go-to app for folks that want incredible control with an easy to use interface. I’m looking forward to the plethora of custom modules that will soon flood the internet.

  2. i can’t own one because i have an old ipad ! (2 years) wich can’t be updated to 7 (my iphone of the first gen could be updated !!?!?!?!) also my mac 3 years old can’t be updated to the newst os.
please make audulus for windows pc

  3. Very cool, this feature should definitely help me organize and share my node graphs!. I sometimes find my patches resemble my apartment, I can find things, but no one else can … if only there were a close physical analogue to custom UI 🙂
