Sunday Synth Jam: Reader Ville Aho created his track, Athletes, as a tribute to “Old School Synthesizer Heroes” and to all the athletes of the world.

Regarding influences, Aho credits “especially to Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, OMD and Kraftwerk.”

Technical details:

Most notable is Aho’s use a DIY Ondes Martenot-style synthesizer, the MonotrOndes, based on the Korg Monotron.
