Sinevibes Intros Hexonator Spectral Audio Effect For OS X, With ‘Adjustable Chaos’

Hexonator

Sinevibes has introduced Hexonator, a new audio effect for OS X. According to Sinevibes, Hexonator ‘creates organic chord progressions, tasty melodic textures, or ambient drones out of almost anything.’

Hexonator is built upon six melodically tuned resonators which isolate and emphasise matching frequency components in the incoming signal. With its chord sequencer, it makes it possible to ‘play’ these resonators musically, producing fresh synthetic sounds that are full of life and character.

Hexonator also includes a multi-mode filter for final shaping, and everything can be animated using two modulators with multiple waveforms and adjustable chaos.

Specifications:

  • Six melodically tuned resonators with positive/negative feedback, adjustable bandwidth.
  • Chord sequencer with up to 32 steps, variable timing, shuffle and glide.
  • Multi-mode filter: low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass at -12 dB and -24 dB per octave.
  • Two modulators with 8 waveforms and adjustable chaos.

Sinevibes is available now for US $39. Audio demos are available at the Sinevibes site.

    1. Interesting, but the plugin has been extremely well received! It’s one of our best launches. I guess our customers are just too busy having fun with Hexonator 🙂

  1. I’m trying it out in Live 9.1.1 and while the interface looks simple, I’m not really sure what I’m doing. Since it’s AU only, i don’t I have access to any example presets that I’m aware of. It would be nice to try out some presets like the examples.
