  1. The title of this post is misleading – this is an analog modular emulator/modeling plugin. I’m not so sure the word “analog’ means what you think it means.

      1. Misleading yes, *AND* Iā€™m sure the site owners do know the difference between analog hardware and a plugin.

(There, I fixed it for you.)

    1. When we put something in quotes, it means that we are quoting someone, in this case XILS-Lab. They, like a lot of companies, characterize their software synths as ‘analog’ when the apps emulate the sound of analog synths.

So, by putting that phrase in quotes, it’s a subtle indication to you that XILS-Lab is calling it ‘analog’, not us.

  2. Have to agree , this caught my attention and then I realised on closer inspection it was just an app.
This site would be better if it had a section for software and hardware. It has been a great year for hardware so it’s easy to be caught out by such software advertisements.

  3. Funny, I didnt have to look more than 0.5 seconds at the clearly digital graphic or the fact that XILS Lab is a software company to put two and two together that this is in fact a vsti plugin… regardless of the word “analog”. The tutorial videos only made it more evident.

I know it sounds crazy. But its true.

  4. The knee-jerk VST hate in this place is sooooo boring. Two sites? Really? I sometimes wonder if a few of the people who post in this place actually understand what the purpose of a synth or drum machine is in the first place.

    1. The purpose of instruments is to be analog, right? Because then you can say they’re analog, and tell people they’re analog. And know they’re analog.

      Analog.
