  1. Ah for fk sake. Why don’t you make a video that takes a look inside the Aira’s designers body while you’re at it…

  2. With double the DSP power and three times the memory, looks like we can expect some more add-on sounds for the TR-8, good stuff!

  3. How do these things operate in dark night clubs after a few beers?

The black on black with look alike rows can become confusing in real life situations.

This might be an in the studio with the lights on device.

Poor design if you ask me, but it does look kind of like Tron stuff, probably why you don’t see more.

  4. I’ve noticed a lot of consumer electronics with green/blue highlighted buttons – my new cable box for instance. Must be a trend in electronics devices in general.

  5. Im sorry but i hope this line fails and fails hard. theyre are already plenty of clones/samples they dont need to make a new version unless its analog. i played around w one at gc and they sound too digital. it would have been interesting if they at least made a new drum machine from the ground up regardless of it being digital or analog.

    1. I have yet to see anyone pick out a TR-8 in a blind listening test. Everybody that I know that’s got a TR-8 loves it. 808 wins in nostalgia, not sounds or features!

  6. I was thinking this was going to be a useless bit of fan boy amateurism until he got the hat out…then I decided I better watch cause this guy guy obviously meant ‘bidness’

  7. I have them both, I love them both, I have lots of other things that I also like. I make living from music and this man has crap hair….that is all …

    1. all 9 people who downvoted my comments are idiots. 600 dollars for digital samples of a 30 year old drum machine that is already throuroughly sampled and a step sequencer which all of yoir daws have already. smh. too much focus on gear at synthtopia… this crap is pure novelty. the only thong worth anything in the aira line is the tb 3.

      1. The TR-8 is not playing back samples. It’s synthesizing the sounds, with all the control and tweakability that implies. Future firmware may add more drum machine emulations. If it’s not for you, it’s not for you.

The TB-3 is not merely a “step sequencer,” it’s a highly accurate model of the TB-303. It sounds virtually identical to a real TB-303 and its handful of faithful (and expensive) hardware clones – and many clones don’t capture all the behavior of the accent and filter sections. And no one does it for $300. If it’s not for you it’s not for you.
