  1. i’m not kidding, i’ll donate to show my support for the removal of in app purchases. i try to do the same with sunvox every time it gets a major update. i understand the realities of app development for niche software in the app store, but i hate iaps.

anyway, this update seems great! midi! i hope the old sampler is an option, that sound was interesting. 🙂

jasuto is still one of my top iOS apps, that’s good for more than just fooling around, although it’s good for that too. 🙂 what else is letting you mess with ffts?

  2. Fantastic news for Android users. Must be like second (Caustic is the first an only one) meanfull app developed for this OS 😉
Sadly, no improvements in the latest Android L.
Oh well, maybe Android Z in 2120 will include the MIDI Nand Audio features of iOS 5… 😉

  3. I’m confused – is 1.6 going to magically appear as a free update soon, since I’ve already bought iOS Jasuto?

If so – yeesh. That’s one helluva free upgrade! I’m not rich, but I’d pay for an upgrade on Jasuto. The spice must flow, etc.

Maybe somebody should keep a crowd-sourced list of “apps worth paying to support”?

  4. Jasuto site does indeed say “now available” but I’m only seeing v1.5 in the app store at this point (06/01/14) – But that doesn’t spoil my excitement for a new update and reported features! This is indeed an underrated app, especially for all the DSP musicians and artists out there who want to do something interesting away from a desktop. (Are there any other iOS apps this powerful or flexible?) Support Jasuto so the development can continue!

  5. Yeah the 1.6 update is completely free. I tried making IAPs suck less than most implementations but it was still a frustration overall, so off with them! Hopefully more apps (that use IAPs) will do the same…

The iOS version is in review, should be any day now… Android has no approval process, so that’s why it’s already in the Play store.

Btw, Android is turning out to be a decent audio platform finally – I’m getting audio latencies close to iOS using 100% native code! Having access to the filesystem along with multiple apps on screen just makes so much more sense. Now if there were more than a handful of apps available… 🙂
