Diggin’ In The Carts is a new video documentary series that explores the history of Japanese video game music, and how it has influenced modern musicians that grew up with systems like the NES, SNES and Mega Drive / Genesis.
Director Nick Dwyer interviewed some of Japan’s most iconic video game composers for the series, including Yuzo Koshiro (Streets of Rage) and Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy).

I love the stuff this red bull academy is putting out I am jealous to be in tokyo while they’re here now and I’m not in the program 🙁 one of my best purchases last time I was in tokyo was these official Nintendo CDs of all the game music from one game, eg SUPER MARIO. It was one of those collect a set type things but I was only able to get a couple.
I’m such a huge fan of what they’ve done :). I love all of this music and am looking forward to the rest of the series.
