Softube has introduced Tube-Tech Classic Channel, a high-end channel strip and ‘surgical equalizer and fas bus compressor Rack Extension for Propellerhead Reason.

The Classic Channel is a vintage style and warm sounding channel strip which consists of the most famous and classic Tube-Tech gear: The “Pultec” equalizer PE 1C, the mid-range equalizer ME 1B and the tube driven opto compressor CL 1B.

That’sa pricey RE! Probably worth it for pro Reason users, though.
Maybe it’s just my ears but I was not at all impressed by the demo video. I cant imagine dropping $350 on this. I feel like you coud achieve similar results without to much effort. The cheesy producer metaphors make me want to vomit as well. Its all so subjective, and it comes off as pretentious to me.
Also, just because the hardware is rare and high end doesn’t mean the software has to cost a lot. The hardware probably costs a bundle to make.
Just my 2 pennies, I’m sure they will sell plenty of licenses. Perhaps I just don’t have a good enough sound system to appreciate the nuance and subtlety this brings to the table.
