Applied Acoustics Systems – Strum Acoustic GS-2

aas-strum-acoustic-gs-2At The NAMM Show 2015: Applied Acoustics Systems has announced the upcoming release of Strum Acoustic GS-2, a new version of its award-wining Strum Acoustic GS-1 guitar track production plug-in.

Strum Acoustic GS-2 will ship with a streamlined interface, a new equalizer and compressor module, a new multi-effect processor as well as native 64-bit operation on Mac OS X and Windows, among other features. The factory library has been completely redesigned and includes an “impressive” collection of steel and nylon guitars.

Strum is based on an elaborate voicing module which automatically voices chords played on the keyboard as a guitar player would on the fretboard. Strumming and picking actions are reproduced by an auto-strum function, special strumming keys, or MIDI loops.

System requirements. Strum Acoustic GS-2 runs on both Mac OS X and Windows in 32- and 64-bit host sequencers supporting the VST, Audio Units, RTAS, and AAX Native plug-in formats.

Pricing and Availability. Strum Acoustic GS-2 will be commercially available by the end of the Q1 2015 at a suggested retail price of $199 US. Upgrades will be available for Strum Acoustics GS-1 users.  For more information, check out Applied Acoustics Systems’ website.

  1. What if AAS actually started adding useful features to their upgrades instead of slapping on a new UI? You got awesome products, so make them better
