  1. congratulations guys! I sent a tech question to your support line regarding iOS 7.06 and whether or not it would work with audiomux etc… But thanks for bringing this to all of us!

  2. What do those of us that just a few weeks ago paid 9.99 for only midimux do. ?? Should we not be entitled to the bundle of midimux and audio mux. ?? Please, developer, explain how we get this without having to spend anymore money.

    1. I know that they were handling that, there obviously some specifics to deal with in that regard, but they said they were working on it, I’m sure it’s just a little bit with the application process with apple etc… I don’t think these guys are going to screw you! It’s just humping through hoops of fire and barbed wire with apple on stuff like that……

    2. Open the App Store app and check the bundle price. With bundles the price is set to the difference between what you’ve already paid for any apps in the bundle and the total bundle price. So in your case it should come up as free to download the bundle.

      1. Because THESE developers, much like Mathias from Midi LE, CARE about how their product is perceived, and want it to work for their end consumers. I recieved 2 emails from the gentleman there tonight alone vanquishing my fears about my specific setup etc…. They are obviously monitoring higher profile sites like this, and really want to make it work. Kudo’s to them, and I wish them all the success they can have.

    3. he already said in last post to wait for bundle… so the dev’s informed you on what to do.
seach midimux or audiomux, click the dev’s name or click related apps, there it is. bunda-roo.

  3. Yes it comes up free, but I see no way to download the bundle, It still list Audiomux separately as 6.99.
I even deleted the app off my IOS device. Can the developer please speak to this issue on exacltly how we resolve this problem. For those of us who paid 9.99 a week or so ago for just midimux. Thank you

    1. You mean there’s no option to ‘purchase bundle’? User error perhaps? This would be a problem in the app store not on the Dev’s side of things. You should be getting one of the apps for free with the “complete bundle” option.

    2. just push the load button for audiomux in the appstore. you don’t have to pay twice…i’ts bundled after loading for midimux customer.

  4. I’m Windows user and it makes me feel like acquiring a Mac to use these apps.
I live in hope and faith that there will be versions for Windows soon – holding hands high towards the heavens!

  5. ok, finally got the bundle installed. After going thru this and reflecting back. I think there should just be one app that incapsulates both Midimux and audiomux.(with just one price of 9.99) And the same for the server side downloads. Just make it one package. But in the end, it is nice to have this transfer of processes between the OS and the IOS. Keep up the good work Devs.

  6. Does anyone know if I can connect multiple IOS devices to a mac and stream multiple audio streams?

    EDIT.

Looking at the website. It looks like you can. Awesome.

  7. I notice on the website that Mac OS 10.8.5 is still in ‘Beta’ in terms of Audiomux. I am experiencing bad latency with my Macbook – maybe it is because I am still using Mac OS 10.8.5.

    The MIDImux is fine though.

  8. Just to confirm. I purchased midimux last week. I see the complete the bundle section where it says “get” with no price, and lists regular price at 9.99. After pressing get, I get a pop up, asking if I want to buy the total package. I assume since no price is listed, then the cost to buy is zero?

  9. Hey guys,
first of all thank you for all the great feedback! We’re a little overwhelmed by all the positive responses we received in the past days – and we couldn’t be happier that our apps are actually helping some of you!

for those of you that already bought midimux – purchasing or ‘completing’ the bundle will be free! It may say otherwise, but you will not be charged for it! Please just make sure to use the same Apple ID that you used to purchase midimux 🙂
it works like this: Whenever you complete a bundle, apple calculates the difference in price to the amount you already spent on parts of this bundle. in our case, midimux is priced at 9,99 – same as the bundle, which means you only have to pay the difference of 0$ to upgrade midimux to the bundle. Apple checks this only upon purchase, so it may tell you differently in its warning messages. We’re sorry it’s that confusing – but it’s pretty much the only way to achieve something like this. :/

I will list a few of the reasons why we chose to offer 2 apps instead of a single one that does both:
    1. with two apps, the user can decide which parts to use at any time.
    2. the servers used for audiomux & midimux use completely different technologies – the audiomux server is actually a virtual audio device driver running in the background – that you can load/unload using the audiomux application in the system bar. the midimux server however, runs as a normal application, without the restrictions needed for a driver.
    3. using a single app would mean lots of overhead – even if you chose not to use the audio or midi part, it would still take up resources and cpu time. this is especially true for audio – running an audio-stream is always costly, and you would not want to have it running if you chose to only use the midi side.
    4. IAA & Audiobus require iOS 7 to work – and apart from that, there is no way to access the audio streams of other apps. midimux however runs fine with iOS 5.1.1 – and therefore even on an iPad1. and we did not want to give up this kind of flexibiity 🙂

@Phil the 10.8 server is still in beta, but it should be almost identical to the 10.9/10.10 versions
what kind of buffersize have you setup on your macbook and audiobus? if you experience high latency, especially after changing buffersizes, after plugging in, or after the initial connction of audiomux, have you tried to just leave it running for a few minutes? the latency should automatically go down till it reaches its minimum, this can take a little bit of time though, we will tweak this for the coming update!

Cheers again for all your feedback! 🙂
    Chris

  10. The MIDI works great. But for me on my IPad 2 the audio has not worked at all. Hope it’s something I’m doing. Any way fantastic Apps.

  11. Hii Chris,

Yes on my iPad I had quite a high buffer size. You are correct it does take time to settle down after tweaking, but now I am getting some good results in Ableton Live.

    Cheers

    Phil
