iDensity Update Adds Multi-Channel Granular Synthesis

apeSoft has released iDensity 2.0 – an up to its iOS ‘granular playground’.

iDensity offers: time/pitch shifting, time/pitch jittering, intricate textures, grain fountain/pulverizer, recording and manipulation of buffers, complex scrub pad exploration, dynamic envelope shape and more.

  1. I’ve not tried the upgrade yet, it was broken until the latest update, but I will be doing!

    This is one of the best apps available for iOS, very controllable granular synthesis with excellent visual feedback – highly recommended!

  2. The zip noises in Version 2 are removed, fine. The new lfo-capabilities are really useful and offers tons of new sound scaping possibilities, multi stream is great, but the slider-controllers of the new UI are so closely and tiny and they are not reacting every time. For the rest I love this app and I use for live sampling and performance.
