iZotope Updates Free Mastering e-Book

iZotope_Mastering_With_Ozone_2015iZotope has published an updated edition of Mastering with Ozone, their free educational guide.

The book is a wide-ranging resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the mastering process, along with more experienced users who are interested in keeping pace with the evolving world of mastering technology and technique.

Mastering With Ozone covers mastering basics, general EQ tips, dynamics, loudness maximizing, stereo imaging, meters, dynamic EQ, along with other concepts. The book also features insights from mastering professionals on how they approach mastering, and their use of specific tools.

This 2015 edition has been revised by Jonathan Wyner, iZotope’s Education Director and Chief Mastering Engineer/Founder of M Works Mastering Studios. Over the past 25 years, Jonathan has mastered more than 5,000 releases across every musical genre, including Aerosmith, David Bowie, Cream, Aimee Mann, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Nirvana, and many more. In addition to his mastering projects, Jonathan is also a faculty member at Berklee College of Music.

Mastering with Ozone is part of iZotope’s initiative to “give back to the audio community.” While the book is a perfect educational companion to iZotope’s Ozone 6 and Ozone 6 Advanced mastering suite, it is also designed to be helpful for all audio enthusiasts, using any brand of mastering platform.

    the interesting part is what I do with ozone gas.
    Inject into waste water to prevent odor and corrosion.
    wonder what you would call my job

      Think it’s going to take me a while to adjust to a new world for me when it comes to audio, restraint, but all signs keep pointing to this unfamiliar word.
