Percussa has released the third generation of its AudioCubes MIDI controller – Percussa Wireless AudioCubes PRO.
The Wireless AudioCubes PRO controllers are designed to be more durable and easier to maintain. The new controllers are made with CNC-milled Delrin, also known as POM.
The Percussa Wireless AudioCubes PRO consists of 2 CNC-milled Delrin parts: a white translucent top part, and opaque black bottom part. By giving the bottom part a black color, it enhances the contrast of the colours displayed by the top part.
Software updates will continue to work on the previous generation AudioCubes, Percussa Wireless AudioCubes.

If there were a simple app you could use to turn them into a portable realistic drum kit I’d be really interested. You’d need decent touch sensitivity to imitate different parts of a cymbal, ride, snare open/closed hi hats. But with one box per drum kit piece it could be a very flexible and reliable alternative. Much more akin to tapping your toe or slapping your thighs, than MPC type technology.
