MIDIBrute Lets You Control MiniBrute, MicroBrute From iOS

midibrute-wideKai Aras has introduced MIDIBrute – an unofficial iOS companion app for the Arturia MiniBrute and MicroBrute synthesizers.

MIDIBrute lets you configure your keyboard’s software-only features from an iOS device.

According to the developer, MIDIBrute is especially useful when using an iOS Device together with your music equipment without a Mac or PC on hand, to quickly change your Arturia Brute synthesizer’s settings.

Note: Currently MIDIBrute supports Arturia’s MiniBrute and MicroBrute. MiniBrute SE and MicroBrute SE support is planned.

MIDIBrute is available for US $1.99 in the App Store.

  1. Please, please, please do the same for the beatstep! Arturia will never update the firmware (they got our money for that machine, it’s all about taking it for the Pro now) and we can’t even change a gate length without a computer…

    1. I think there has been new firmware for that thing. This iOS app only ports features already in the microbrute pic version by Arturia as far as I can see.

What I like is that I don’t have to move my synth to make the changes, my PC is miles from my synths so updates are a pain.

  2. I spent a good two hours making a template with MidiTouch – not that I’m complaining! There should be more stuff like this!

  3. This is a great idea. My in house Microbrute set up is not what I need when I take it out, and it annoys me to know that if I forget to change one setting before leaving the house the Microbrute will be useless when out, with no way to alter it.

  4. Wait it doesn’t work for the SE?

I bought the se instead of the regular because there was no difference beyond the stackables/bag/colors

    Why won’t this work?
