    1. Martelli : Mozart wouldn’t do this today.

      Shorofsky: Do what?

      Martelli : This bowing business.

Martelli : He’d plug his keyboard into an amp and he’d have string quartets coming out of his fingers.

Shorofsky: And who would play all these science-fiction symphonies?

      Martelli : He would.

      Shorofsky: All by himself?

Martelli : He’d overdub and mix, of course. He wouldn’t make the same old noise.

      Shorofsky: Noise?

Martelli : He’d sound electric. He’d have spacier strings and horns and computerized bassoons.

Shorofsky: One man is not an orchestra.

Martelli : Who needs orchestras? You can do it all with a keyboard, an amp and enough power.

Shorofsky: You’re going to play all by yourself?

Martelli : You don’t need anybody else.

Shorofsky: That’s not music, Martelli. That’s masturbation.

  1. Now if it had a way to sync with other gear, if not with midi then at least with audio click.
But apparently it doesn’t. This is a big oversight with almost all loopers on the market.

    1. Nice features but not really for integration into a studio. You need some type of sync… Most of the loopers are really geared for live solo use.

Gibson Echoplex – for example – not only syncs to Midi clock, it will also generate Midi clock so you can sync your stuff to it as well. Fun piece of it is. 🙂

  2. I have a ditto x2 for guitar stuff and a Roland RC-505 for insane looping madness. This looks cool but not necessary.

  3. Sounds like a gimped version of the Infinity or Boomerang. No MIDI? Not sure why EHX needed to release this. Nice to see the undo function – wish my 45000 had that, but other than that, I’m very happy with my 45000.

  4. Funny that in today’s day and age, with the progression of electronic music, Electro Harmonix hasn’t figured out MIDI sync. It sucked on the 2880, and the only improvement I can see with MiDi syncing on this pedal is that they decided not to include their half-assed implementation.
